I've written about the size of bugs, snails, and spiders before. I thought I would share this massive beetle (?) Dustin found outside his office.
I showed the picture to a Japanese coworker that explained how they are worth a few hundred yen alive. The department stores will buy and then sell them to children to be kept as pets. Yech!

Okinawa
I'm trying not to have too much fun while spending two weeks in Okinawa for work. But it is so hard...
It's a tropical PARADISE!
I've been working all week but hope to get out and explore a little more this weekend.

Bugs
There are many interesting bugs here in Japan. Most of them are pretty familiar.
The cicadas here are extremely loud. The video below doesn't do their chorus justice, but you can hear just a little bit of what we experienced.
