Halloween

Well, the Nashville house construction is finished and we have officially sold it. Yay!

Next on our vacation/moving out west we have a stop to visit family in Chattanooga. This year Elizabeth wanted to be Pikachu, and James went as Mario.

Fryeburg Fair 2017

The Fryeburg Fair is Maine's largest agricultural fair. The week long event showcases harness racing, steer and oxen shows, crafts, edibles, and a variety of competitions. Chain saw competitions, anyone? We were fortunate to be visiting during this annual event.

Fried Oreos

Holy cow!

Huge animals, fried anything, and fun music. It was an excellent day. Dustin and I went up in a helicopter for the first time!

My first Fryeburg Fair was almost thirty years ago. Some things never change! :)

Portland Head Lighthouse

While in Maine, we couldn't pass up an opportunity to visit the Portland Head Lighthouse. Maine's oldest lighthouse sits on Cape Elizabeth and is part of Fort Williams Park. Pictures don't do this area justice. Although most of Fort Williams has been demolished, there a few buildings still standing from its use by the United States Army in World War I and World War II.

Also, let it go on record that I had the best lobster roll to date from a food truck in the parking lot. :)

Back to Camp

Before we begin the journey cross country we spent some time visiting family families on the East coast. I was very excited to take the kids to camp, a place in which I have many great memories.

Webb Lake

My cabin!

Listen up, parents. If you have the ability to send your kids to camp. Do it. :)

The kids enjoyed running in the grass and throwing rocks in the lake and I enjoyed sharing my stories with Dustin.
