Busan

I've had a bit of cabin fever lately. We haven't traveled in a while. Dustin has been crazy busy with work so our weekends seem to fly pretty quick. With less than a year overseas we want to knock as much off our local bucket list as possible. Enter South Korea. Just a quick hop across the Sea of Japan and we could explore Busan, the second largest city.

We drove to Fukuoka airport and a forty-five minute flight later we arrived in South Korea. Busan is a beautiful port city and is home to Korea's largest beach, longest river, and the world's largest department store. I like superlatives, so we had to visit them all.

After a taxi ride through Saturday afternoon traffic, we arrived at our hotel. We were twenty minutes early for check-in so we decided to walk around the surrounding area.

Tons of fresh fruits, vegetables (including the LARGEST cabbage I have ever seen), fish, dried beans, peppers, real cinnamon, home goods, and clothes. The smells were amazing!

  1. if you are fond of superlatives you must go to ALaska! the entire State is a superlative. And if you love to see big vegetables be sure to go to the Alaska Staet fair in Palmer at the end of August.

    1. We stayed at the Ibis Ambassador Hotel because of it's prime location between two subway lines. It also is attached to a Starbucks for a quick caffeine jolt before exploring this awesome city. Have fun!
